The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are also known as the Hanging Gardens of Semiramis, they were one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, they were located near to Iraq.
They were built by Nebuchadnezzar II around the year 600 BC, he constructed the gardens to please his wife, Amytis of Media, who wanted to have a big garden in her house. The gardens were destroyed by several earthquakes after the 2nd century, that´s why they are concidered one of the original seven wonders of the world.
Some Greek historians such as Strabo and Diodorus Siculus hah written about the gardens and had made a detailed descriptions of the gardens, but those writers may have confused the location of the gardens because not all of them say the same as the others, some of those writings are in tablets. Writings on these tablets describe the possible use of something similar to an Archimedes' screw as a process of raising the water to the required height.
Archeologist had not found any different clue from the writings of the greek historians.

MYSTERY

The mystery is about knowing what was the real shape or how do the gardens look like when they existed.
until today they had not found a very clear clue to discover how they were.
